We are Certified Air Duct Cleaning Specialists (ADCS) and comply with NADCA air duct cleaning standards. When we clean your air ducts, we remove and clean all the vent covers, brush inside the ducts to the air conditioning unit. We use all professional air duct cleaning equipment with HEPA filtration. The cleaning usually takes between 2-4 hours, depending on how many air ducts you have and how dirty they are. It’s more than simply vacuuming the registers in your home or coming in and hooking up to one vent.
A few details determine the overall cost of a professional duct cleaning service, from the number of vents, accessibility, the length of ductwork, location of filters and labor.
Do you have to go up to your attic to change your filter? If you answered yes, the return plenum where your filter is located could be extremely dirty. Checking inside the return and supply air ducts and plenums is part of our initial inspection.
If you see a company advertising "Unlimited Vents" the only thing they are cleaning is your wallet. It doesn't matter if it is a supply vent or a return vent, behind each vent is an air duct that needs to be cleaned for you to benefit from the cleaning. You cannot clean air ducts by hooking up a vacuum of any kind to one vent.
Ceiling height, length of ductwork, if your ductwork is located underneath the subfloor, or if your floor registers are glued down will determine the accessibility, and how we must clean the air ducts. Therefore, if the ductwork is difficult to access, a new plan of action must be taken.
When we inspect your air ducts, sometimes there are unexpected surprises. Below are some services that would require additional costs if they’re discovered. If the work involved is minor, we may be able to handle these additional services on a same-day basis.
We will never add any additional services or costs without having your approval and your full understanding of what is required.
High humidity levels, poorly maintained HVAC systems, or homes that have sustained water damage are incredibly susceptible to microbial growth. Prior to cleaning, it is important to figure out “why” it is there, or it will return. The National Air Duct Cleaning Association advises never to try to use any method to clean microbial infestations inside flexible air ducts because it will return. REPLACEMENT IS THE ONLY OPTION. The EPA does not approve any chemical to be sprayed or "fogged" inside flexible air ducts. The air inside your home is recycled and fungal spores can travel through the air, causing a potentially dangerous situation. It is extremely important to have this taken care of immediately.
Rodents or other pests crawling through their air ducts can cause several health risks. So, if we discover signs of rats or mice, we recommend you contact a pest control company to take care of the issue before having your air ducts cleaned.
Blower motor, evaporator coil, and condenser coil cleaning. These are additional services we do provide.
This is a separate service we perform, and it is not included in the cost of an air duct cleaning service.
